Luisterboek voorgelezen door Kate Winslet

To know Matilda, is to love her. Matilda is a hero to every child who's ever felt misunderstood and which child hasn't felt misunderstood at one point or another?

I read Matilda as a child after I saw the movie (which is somehow even better than the book, no small feat!). I thoroughly enjoyed the book then. Dahl has such a great imagination and is able to capture the world of children so well.

As an adult, I recently listened to the audiobook, read by Kate Winslet, and what a treat it was! She's able to really portray the different characters and she is great at bringing out the drama and humour in different situations. I highly recommend checking out this excerpt:

Ik las Matilda voor het eerst als kind, nadat ik de film zag (die nog beter is dan het boek!). Ik heb er toen erg van genoten. Dahl heeft een fantastische verbeelding en kan zich goed inleven in de wereld van het kind.

Als volwassene heb ik recent geluisterd naar het audioboek, voorgelezen door Kate Winslet. Ze brengt op een prachtige manier de verschillende personages tot leven en ze vertelt het verhaal met de gepaste dramatiek en humor.
